A Wetland Centre for Navi Mumbai, situated in an eco-sensitive zone, is primarily intended to conserve the mangrove forest ecosystem in Thane Creek, and further create awareness and educate the public about the rampant depletion of Mumbai mangroves because of the rapid urbanisation and pollution in the city which eventually leads to the global concern of ‘Climate- Change’.
